BAC Tour of Homes

Our tour this month shows just some exciting progress and lots of variety—a quick snapshot of the customized solutions we provide for each of our homeowners.

Alpharetta — Victorian Farmhouse

This genteel farmhouse in Alpharetta has classic lines, but was looking a bit tired on the outside and the inside was no longer working well for our homeowners. The transformation from tired to wow is well underway. Along with the two story addition at the back of the home, we also renovated the exterior to improve both the durability & appearance. Our team is currently working on integrating the old with the new with an interior remodel. Today, however, we’ll just take a look at some of the progress made on the exterior of the home.

Low maintenance and long lasting, HardiePlank siding is a customer and BAC Team favorite. Our homeowners wanted to keep their running trim & porch posts as true to their home’s style but update their color scheme.

What an upgrade! The warm gray Hardie siding is the perfect background for the cheerful front door and let’s the Victorian porch trim really pop. This is modern Southern styling at its best.

A quick turn around the house takes us to the addition where a new back deck offers extra space for entertaining in style. The mini-pergola is just the right scale for this space.

Just a small peek through the back door will show you what an exciting transformation is about to take place on the inside. Bye, bye wallpaper! Welcome to the 21st century.

Lake Lanier: Remodel + Addition

Lake houses have always had their challenges — depending on what part of the shore you own, you might have a steep lot or a flat lot, lots of trees or lots of rocks, and every owner of a lake house knows the most important question is which side is the front—the side facing the lake or the driveway? These home owners in Gainesville are taking on all of these challenges in a stride. Their remodeling job is focusing on major clearing & grading work to improve their lot, and remodeling not just their lake side, by adding a two story addition & porches, but upgrading the whole home exterior.

New roof, new siding, and new windows go a long way to making a new home. The curb appeal was also immediately improved by removing two trees were too close for comfort.

The terrace level addition contains a bedroom suite with some beautiful lake views. This level will have outdoor living space on a poured patio.

The next main level of the home took on the need to see the lake. Check out that wall of windows—a must have for a home with such a beautiful view. Besides the view, the main level features more bedrooms & expanded family spaces & kitchen.

Of course lake living isn’t just about bringing the outside in, but about being outside. A few finishing touches are all that this deck require to provide our homeowners with the perfect spot to enjoy that afternoon ice tea. A little sunshine, a little shade? Not too much shade though — note the skylight which adds a natural lighting.

Atlanta: Bathroom Remodel

Good bones — one of the many things to love about old Atlanta houses. This bathroom project is just getting started, but every one of our projects starts off with attention being paid to the parts that homeowners rarely see — the structure. We want each of our jobs to reflect quality from the inside to the outside.
